They knew each other better than they did their wives… but when their on-air marriage began to deteriorate in late March, it showed on the air (see below). 4 6 weeks from March to May, they did not speak (off-microphone), but still maintaned their 5.5 hour show every day . In June, Mike and Chris began talking again after WFAN management brokered a peace agreement, and the two used the summer off-season to get away from each other… but the wounds weren’t healing. Russo wanted a change and Francesa sounded relieved. Today, they said their goodbyes and officially ended the best sports radio show there ever was.
